Times of the Gentiles

Joseph Smith was instructed by a heavenly messenger on Sept. 23, 1823 that the fullness of the gentiles was soon to come in (see JSH 3:4). Modern revelation states that the times of the gentiles is that time when the fullness of the gospel will come among the gentiles (see T&C 31:6–7). The times of the gentiles will be fulfilled in that generation when the gentiles shall sin against my gospel, and shall reject the fullness of my gospel (3 Nephi 7:5), and they receive it not (T&C 31:6). The Lord will then bring the fullness of my gospel from among them. And then will I remember my covenant which I have made unto my people, O house of Israel, and I will bring my gospel unto them (3 Nephi 7:5).
