It was not anything accounted of in the days of Solomon, for the king’s ships went to Tarshish with the servants of Hiram; every three years, once came the ships of Tarshish bringing gold, and silver, ivory, and apes, and peacocks.

And Rehoboam went to Shechem, for to Shechem had all Israel come to make him king. ... And it came to pass, when Jeroboam the son of Nebat — who was in Egypt, where he had fled from the presence of Solomon the king — heard it, that Jeroboam returned out of Egypt.
