And it was so, that when any man that had a controversy came to the king for judgment, then Absalom called unto him and said, Of what city are you? ... And Absalom said unto him, See, your matters are good and right, but there is no man deputed of the king to hear you. ... And Elisha said unto the king of Israel, What have I to do with you? ... And the king of Israel said unto him, Nay, for the Lord has called these three kings together, to deliver them into the hand of Moab. ... Therefore, thus says the Lord: Because you have not heard my words, behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, says the Lord, and Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about, and will utterly destroy them and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations. ... And this whole land shall be a desolation and an astonishment, and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years. ... And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon and that nation, says the Lord, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans, and will make it perpetual desolations. ... For many nations and great kings shall serve themselves of them also, and I will recompense them according to their deeds and according to the works of their own hands.

For thus says the Lord God: Behold, I will bring upon Tyre Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon, a king of kings from the north, with horses, and with chariots, and with horsemen, and companies, and many people.
