Sons of the Morning
Angels of God who occupy a position of respect and authority in His presence. The list of those who hold this title includes Christ, as well as Lucifer, who rebelled and fell and was thrust down from the presence of God and the Son (T&C 69:6).1 That instant is memorialized in one of the titles that is given to both the Lord and to his chief adversary, Lucifer; it is a Son of the Morning — because that moment marks the instant that the morning arises.2 When Christ arose early that Easter morning, He became the True Son of the Morning. He opened a new day for all who ever lived and would die. He is the author of the resurrection and the Great Benefactor. He has given hope to all. In Him is Life and Light.3
