Abominable/Abomination
The use of religion to suppress truth or impose a false form of truth.1 It involves the religious justification of wrongdoing. That is, something becomes abominable when it is motivated out of a false form of religious observance or is justified because of religious error.2 Abominable means doing or celebrating something false as a religious sacrament — treating something that isn’t God’s (or even approved by Him) as His. It’s considered blasphemy. It’s repugnant to God, and it ought to be repugnant to mankind.3 Actions or practices are abominable because they fail to reconnect mankind to God.4 “It is easy to create abominations; all one needs to do is engage in unapproved religious practices.”5
